TERMS OF SERVICE.
The legal-but-readable version of how Larking works. We've tried to keep it short. The shorter we keep it, the more honest we have to be.

§01THE AGREEMENT
These terms govern your use of Larking (“the service”), operated by Larking Inc., a Delaware corporation with offices in Brooklyn, NY. By using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
If you do not agree, please don't use the service. We won't be offended.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account. We are responsible for not being careless with the credentials you share with us.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

§04WHAT WE PROVIDE
The service is, at heart, an editorially graded directory of places to eat, drink, and spend an evening, plus a planning tool that helps you use that directory. We do our best to keep grades current and information accurate, but cities change and kitchens change and we are not omniscient.
§05WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO
- Scrape, mirror, or republish our content without written permission.
- Use the service to harass venues or other members.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or access controls.
- Submit fake reviews, fake reports, or impersonate venues or staff.
§06INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The grades, the editorial copy, the design, the typeface choices, and the cranky tone — all of it belongs to Larking. The plans you create belong to you. The reviews you submit you license to us non-exclusively, so we can show them to other members.
§07TERMINATION
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. We may terminate immediately if you violate these terms. You may terminate by deleting your account. We will retain only what we are legally required to retain, and only for as long as we are required to retain it.
§08DISCLAIMERS
The service is provided “as is.” We grade carefully but we don't guarantee that any specific spot will live up to its grade on any specific night. Kitchens have bad nights. So do members. We are not responsible for the soup.
§09LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Larking's aggregate liability under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
§10GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kings County, New York. We'll meet you there.
